Back in late September 2009 I wrote a song called “Rise Up America” and recorded it after seeing all the chaos go down at the G20 summit in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. I made a call for anyone who wanted to record this song to do so and to even change the words to their own country so that it is more personal.

It’s been a little while now but we’ve now got another version and from Italy. :)

Here are the two songs for Italy and America together:

Download the Italian version here for free:

Here is my original song with video from the G20 Summit:

I recently got an email from an Italian artist simply known as Alex or “d0ct0r” who heard my song and wanted very much to record it and make his own version for Italy. He sent it to me and this is what you are listening to. I like it very much.

Now that Italy is involved with the spirit behind the original song, my call still goes out for others to get involved. It’s up to us to take our world back from fear and destruction. We must rise above fear and anxiety!

Let’s keep this song chain going. It is important to get the spirit of optimism out. Thanks Alex!

Here’s previous post on Rise Up America.

There are those that never leave America.
They believe it’s a great utopia.
They spew out their arrogance.
And live in their racist trance.

They say, “the west is the best.”
And they forbid any foreign guest.
They push the “American Dreams”
But it’s not what it seems.

It’s a neverending chase for wealth
That will destroy your health.
They rule now by fear.
Always saying, “The end could be near.”

What ever happened to living by faith?
And the Golden Rule that the Lord did saith?
They speak of worse case scenarios
While they eat their morning Cheerios.

They believe their 401K and insurance plans will save them.
They will not; it’s only by Him.
They talk of jobs nonstop.
They work ’til they pop, flop, and drop.

America the Cult rules the world
With its brainwashing media face.
The foundation is torn apart
With each little fear alert.

Don’t care what you think. I love America and feel that something is VERY wrong here and that I must call the American leadership out. Poem was written on 3/7/2007 while living abroad in Bulgaria as a Peace Corps Volunteer. Yes I’m back now and fighting the Good Fight.

Road trip shenanigans. Part of the 2010 “Take My Life Back” tour.

Part 1

Part 2

It’s a joke. Obama gets to joke around with his propaganda press conferences so I thought I would too.

Here’s my latest song I wrote and recorded last night. Enjoy!

World’s Angriest Hippie

You’re really a bit mad
You’re not a fad.
Not even bad.
Maybe just sad.

You keep us in line.
And doing fine.
We’re all mad too.
We’re all a little bit blue.

Chorus

The world’s angriest hippie
Turning all our heads around.
Pushing all the buttons.

Instrumental break

Chorus

The world’s angriest hippie
Turning all our heads around.
Pushing all the buttons.

You’re getting Understood.
It must feel good.
You’re music is the weapon.
Falling down from the internet zeppelin.

Keep your ideas flowing.
Your planted seeds are growin
The truth is your friend.
And it’s blowing in the wind.

Chorus

The world’s angriest hippie
Turning all our heads around.
Pushing all the buttons.

You’re just a bit mad
And not a fad
We’re sad.

I found this guy named Sean Kraft before Christmas who has apparently been on a Hunger Strike for 45 days.

45 days???

Yes.  I do not know him personally and have really no way of knowing for sure if it is true but it is worth the media looking into at the very least.

Why is he striking?

Because of the current situation in the U.S. The Government seems to want to take more and more control and it is ever increasingly hard to have a life, liberty and to pursue happiness. Some people probably don’t feel this control because maybe they are too zonked out, distracted, playing games, basically just going around in circles in the rat race, or for other unknown causes.

So I am gonna report on him. He is demanding to talk to the “We the People Foundation” and get in touch eventually with the Continental Congress of 2009 and have a 3 minute press conference.

The mission of the We The People Foundation is:

1. To protect, preserve and enhance the unalienable rights, liberties and freedoms of the people.
2. To teach people that under our system of governance all power comes from the people and all government is limited by our written constitutions.
3. To help people become better informed about the history and meaning of every provision of the Declaration of Independence and their State and federal constitutions.
4. To help people become better informed about what is really going on in government.
5. To help people become better informed about how to confront unconstitutional and illegal behavior by those wielding power in government at all levels.
6. To institutionalize vigilance by the ordinary, nonaligned citizen-voter-taxpayers.

Sean has been posting daily on his weight change and you can read more about him at his site:

Here’s a song I recorded today and I adapted the text of the Declaration of Independence. If you are an American and don’t recognize these words it is clearly sad. I changed it up a little but not much. LET’S TAKE OUR COUNTRY BACK!!!

Please share this song everywhere.

We hold these truths to be self-evident,
We’re all created equal,
And given by our Creator
certain unalienable rights,

life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

We hold these truths to be self-evident,
We are all created equal,
And given by our Creator
certain unalienable rights,

life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Music and art can change our World for the good. You already know how chaotic it is these days if you are awake: Swine Flu hype, G20 Riots, Vaccinations, Nuclear Standoffs, RFID chips, health care arguments, economy, Iraq War, terrorism, the New World Order, 1st amendment violations, unemployment, and the list can go on and on.

Now if we all rise up together we can push the oppressive things out of the way. I have compiled a Jamendo only playlist of artists I really like because of their honesty and musical quality. Please download at the link below and pass around. We can do this. It isn’t over and as long as we are breathing we can do something.

And here is another idea: If you can play guitar or piano, sing or write, get going and make a song about whatever you are going through. No matter what. Flood the internet with your viewpoint. Let’s not give in to the elite bullies in charge who want to manipulate, con and destroy us with their fear-mongering. These are all distractions.

if you paint or draw do that, too. Flood the internet with your world. We have more numbers behind us than those elite. They hide behind their power and wealth. Come and get going.

Make youtube videos, too and post. Do it!

Here’s the playlist:

America is rather silly right now. More and more news is negative about the crisis at hand. Where are the positive stories about good news. All we hear is bad and slanted toward going deeper and deeper down. Let’s write some positive stuff. It is funny that my having spent two years abroad as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Bulgaria isn’t worth mentioning. Many papers that I have contacted have turned down the story.

Seems that greed and money is the only thing that is important to write about these days. There are a lot of hardworking, sacrificing people out there that need notice. And I am writing to toot my own horn maybe. I taught in rough school in Pernik, Bulgaria for two years getting paid less than $400 a month. I returned to America just last November and like everybody else I am also looking for a job. I have seen how the world views America and it is not so positive. We need to do our part and get back to hard work in whatever it is.

I think America is obsessed with money and careers. You know what? It doesn’t matter so much the career that one takes if there is passion and purpose behind it. If you want to be a street sweeper then go for it. There is respect in working hard and not just collecting hand out and doing nothing.

A lot of stuff is going on right now that is more than mind-boggling.  There are a lot of folks out there that have been negligent, ignorant, selfish and greedy.  This I believe is why all this bailout, stimulus package has come about.

Do you think that throwing money at these people will help?  No!  Because it is an internal problem of the mind.  It is bad habits and total disregard for doing the right thing.  Yeah, in the old days people worked hard to get somethere.  There are a lot of Americans still today that do work hard to get somewhere.

My Great Great Grandfather immigrated from France in 1846 to Ohio.  He didn’t know English.  He learned it and struggled his way to become a country doctor in New Bedford, Ohio.  He struggled through hard winters and cared after people with pneumonia and other diseases of the day.  There were no cars and he went around by horseback making calls on patients and would be gone from home days at a time.  THIS IS AMERICA!

Many people have the “lottery” mentality wishing for everything under the sun to come there way without any lifting of fingers.  It is sickening.  I believe America will fight the good fight.  There is something higher at play, here.  Will we exist as a nation of hard workers or a nation of “lottery” lovers.  The time is now to wake up and not settle for the mediocre, “I can’t” mentality.  Get up, stand up, rise up!  For God, For Country, For Honor!

Whose in charge here?  We have forgotten what the country was made of.  Overseas we get trashed for how America is now.  They expect us to lead!  How can we lead if we can’t even see through the confusion and chaos?  I lived overseas for two and a half years and I was confronted on few occasions about American Politics.  Let’s put it aside and go back to our roots.  It’s burning within each of us.  And by the way, Mr. Attorney General, Americans are not cowards.  Shame on you!  They stand for what is right.
